Are you looking into getting some orthodontic work done for yourself or your children? When it comes right down to it, the two main orthodontic appliances to choose between are either braces or aligners.

What is Invisalign? These custom-made thermoplastic trays have revolutionized orthodontics as we know it. They have gained quite a following since their inception in 1997. Why is that?

1. Braces typically take two years to work. Invisalign can usually complete the same job in six to eighteen months.
2. Let’s face it; braces can mar your smile’s appearance. Even clear braces stand out at a close range. Invisalign is probably the most aesthetic option of any orthodontic appliance. The aligners are only noticeable to the keen observer at a close range.
3. While in the long run braces straighten your teeth and lead to a healthier smile, keeping your teeth clean while wearing them can be a significant challenge. Invisalign aligners make this much easier. They’re removable, so you can take them out while eating or brushing your teeth.

Invisalign is amazing, but it’s not for everyone. Choose braces if you have any of the following dental issues:
-canine premolar problems
-back tooth bite issues
-a dental bridge
-lack of discipline required to wear Invisalign for 22 hours a day
-teeth that need to move vertically
